Dave's Dino Escape Motion Text(part1?) from Tri Tri-Rudolf What immediately strikes me about this animation is how dark it is. The vignette around the edges, the dark background and the dark text create a slight negative feeling. There are also text effects used such as the reflection which like the last animation make it look cheap and amateurish.
Guster- Satellite Color Video from Phil Ebiner Although not a strict kinetic typography animation this video does feature some animated text. The video starts of with some promise and looks like an old 8-bit animation with the dark background and the bright colours. After this comes a few seconds of harsh strobing then the kinetic typography kicks in. When the words appear random squares that arnt really connected to anything appear along side them. These dont really work unlike the relative objects in the Dexter video by Koos Dekker.
