As I watched this animation on Vimeo. It didnt really call out to me as being much of an inspiration. The colours were very dull and boring and the font wasn't exactly inspiring. As I watched the words unfold I was shocked and amazed when the last two seconds of the clip bought together every word that had been said and animated to create M E (the illness and subject the animation had been on). I felt a bit stupid that I hadnt really seen it coming, perhaps thats what surprised me about it.It was such a simple yet very clever idea but I felt it worked really well and was something I wanted to work into my project.

Using type and fonts however is far from being a new thing with people even using type-writers to create word/symbol art.

Nowadays it can be combined with new technologies such as twitter to create art out of data. This image was created by Jeff Clark of Neoformix using data collect from peoples 'tweets' around the death of Michael Jackson
